All winter we offer a ton of fun for the adventurer of all ages as you would expect – after all this IS Alaska!! Enjoy a weekend getaway, rent a snowmachine for the day, bring your skis or snowshoes and enjoy the crisp air and beauty we have to offer, or book a guided tour of the area. There is something here for everyone.
And Did We Mention Events?? Here are just a few you could partake in:
*Every Winter we host a check point for the Biggest, baddest, longest XCountry snowmachine Race in the world known as “The Iron Dog”.
*The last great race “The Iditarod” sled dog race runs practically right past our front door!
*The Iditarod Trail Invitational – a walking biking and skiing race from Willow to McGrath, and a handful go to NOME.
*Iron Dog appreciation weekend.
*Skwentna XC 200, a partner race that began at the Roadhouse in 2017.
*The Larry Heal XCounrty Race sponsored by AMMC Racing.
We support several local air taxi services in the area for all of our adventures. We also provide and work with fishing and hunting guides so we can make just about anything happen that attains to Alaskan adventures.
Skwentna Roadhouse is always warm and welcoming for the Alaskan winter adventure, whether it’s by foot, fat tire bike, skis, snowmachine or plane. We will come fetch you or you can walk the short distance to the lodge.
